A deliberate break from our single-origin tradition, forced by the global coffee market crisis and rising costs of Brazilian green. Rather than compromise on quality, we blended two naturals that genuinely complement each other: the plum depth of Caixa de Frutas and the milk-chocolate roundness of Mutovu. The result is a cup more complete than either alone.
Tasting notes: plum, milk chocolate.

Detailed Informations
Where and who
Mutovu Washing Station sits in the Gikangaga sector on the slopes of Karambi Mountain, Rwanda. Built in 2012 and joining the RTC network in 2018, it works with 995 smallholders — 70 seasonal staff, 90% women. The Caixa de Frutas comes from COCATREL, Brazil's second-largest cooperative, founded 1961, with over 6,000 members.
From the Cherry to the Bean
Both coffees follow the natural process. Mutovu cherries dry on raised African beds at 1,650 m for several weeks with regular turning. Caixa de Frutas cherries dry in static wooden boxes with a ventilated bottom grid, temperature monitored below 40 °C, without turning, for 1–2 weeks. Both rest in parchment before hulling.
About the variety
Red Bourbon was introduced to Rwanda during the colonial era and adapted perfectly to the country's high altitudes. It delivers a clean, elegant cup with balanced structure. The Caixa de Frutas is a variety blend from Sul de Minas (900–1,100 m), selected by sensory profile: red fruit, milk chocolate, creaminess.
